The war in Ukraine has directly impacted Barnabas International staff Charley and Cheryl Warner, who have lived in Irpin, Ukraine, since 2018 and evacuated before the war started. Irpin is a northwest suburb of Kyiv, and was on the front line of the fighting in February and March 2022. Some neighboring homes were bombed and destroyed by fire, and the home that the Warners have rented for the last four years sustained damage to windows, the exterior, the fence, and grounds. Occupying forces ransacked the house, and many of the Warners' belongings were damaged or stolen. When it is safe to go back, Charley and Cheryl plan to return to their home and look forward to once again hosting Ukrainian missionaries and church gatherings. This fund is set up to help cover the costs of repairs, replacing household and personal items, travel back to Ukraine, and new visas. The Warners are thankful their landlady survived the attack on the neighborhood. Citizens of Irpin have begun cleaning up, rebuilding roads and bridges, and planning for the future.

If the funds are more than what is needed, the remainder of the funds will be used to continue to support the ministry of Charley and Cheryl Warner, and or if the Warners are unable to return to Ukraine the funds will be used to help them relocated where the Lord leads them.
